Follow Up Director
Dr. Carlos Gutierrez has been part of the Oasis of Hope medical staff since 1979. Having worked alongside Dr. Ernesto Contreras, he learned firsthand how effective treatments depend on a strong patient-doctor relationship.
In 2013, Dr. Gutierrez became director of the follow up program ensuring that an effective continuation of treatment is given while the patient is at home.
Dr. Gutierrez obtained his M.D. degree from the prestigious School of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in 1976 with a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Respiratory Care.
